The Harvard Medical School Center for Global Health Delivery is pleased to announce our upcoming webinar: Chronic Disease in times of COVID-19 on November 23, 2020 at 8:00am EST.
This webinar will investigate the ways in which COVID-19 has “disrupted” the continuum of care for other diseases, especially NCDs. We have invited representatives from three countries to talk about how COVID-19 has impacted their care delivery processes and what they’ve done to try and keep access to care operational.
Speakers include:
- Dr. Ramya Ananthakrishnan, Executive Director at REACH (Resource Group for Education and Advocacy for Community Health) in Chennai, India who will speak about community-based TB/COVID-19 co-screening program that REACH has developed;
- Professor Monique Marks, Head of the Urban Futures Centre, Durban University of Technology in Durban, South Africa who will speak about maintaining care to key vulnerable groups during COVID; and finally
- Dr. Nattadhanai Rajatanavin, Research Fellow at International Health Policy Program (IHPP), Ministry of Public Health in Bangkok, Thailand who will speak about maintaining care for NCDs through COVID-19.
The moderator will be Katie Dain, CEO of NCD Alliance.
